How to Monitor the Traffic from a Specific IP in Cisco ASA5505 Firewall

1. Login to Cisco ASDM

2. Go to enable logging Panel

Click “Monitoring” button on the top and then “Logging” tab in the left side.

3. Click “Enable Logging” and click “Ok” to continue

4. Then Click “View…” button

5. Add Filter IP

The “Real-Time Log Viewer” will be popped up. Put the IP that you want to monitor in the “Filter By” box and click “Enter” key.

6. Save log as a file

You can click “Save” button on the top and save the logs as file.

7. Disable Logging

After finish, you need to disable logging. Close the “Real-Time Log Viewer” window. Then click “Configuration” button on the top and “Device Management” on the left and then “Logging > Logging Setup”. Check off “Enable Logging” and click “Apply” button.
