What is Linux Shared IP?

Linux Shared IP is a VPS solution where multiple virtual servers share a single public IP address, each VPS only has a private internal IP and is exposed to the internet through port forwarding for TCP services and domain-based reverse proxy for web traffic, allowing users to run applications like a normal VPS but without a dedicated public IP.

How do I connect to my VPS on a Linux Shared IP plan?

You can connect to your VPS using SSH with the format ssh root@SharedIP -p PORT, where SharedIP is the assigned shared public IP and PORT is the unique port mapped to your VPS’s SSH service through NAT on the host node.

How do I host a website on a Linux Shared IP plan?

To host a website, you need to run a web server inside your VPS listening on port 80, then point your domain’s DNS A record to the shared IP, and configure your website on your client pannel. After that the system will automatically create routing rules and forward HTTP/HTTPS requests to your VPS.

Do I need to configure SSL (HTTPS) on a Linux Shared IP plan?

Yes, you just need to configure your website's SSL on your client pannel networking page. You can use your own SSL certificate or using Let’s Encrypt certificate. If you use Let's Encrypt, the system will automatically issues SSL certificates, performs domain validation, enables HTTPS, and renews certificates before expiration.

You should verify that your domain is correctly pointing to the shared IP, your web service inside the VPS is running and listening on port 80, and there are no firewall rules blocking the traffic

Can I run databases or other services on a Linux Shared IP plan?

Yes, you can run services such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, or custom applications, and access them externally via the shared IP combined with the assigned port mapping. You just need to configure the port mapping on your client pannel networking page.

If I am using Linux Shared IP plan and I don’t have a domain, how can I access my website?

If you do not have a domain name, you can still access your website by using a temporary URL provided by the system, simply click “Add Domain” in the control panel, enter any domain name, and enable the “Enable A Temporary URL” option, the system will automatically generate a publicly accessible HTTPS URL for your VPS, and you need to make sure the Port field matches the port where your web service is running inside the server.

How can I access my database or other services from outside?

To access services like databases or custom applications externally, go to the Networking page and open Port Mapping Management, you will see an existing default rule that maps a public port to your VPS internal port 22 for SSH access, you can click “Add Port Mapping” to create additional mappings, and when adding a new rule, make sure the corresponding service inside your VPS is already running and listening on the target port, otherwise the connection will fail.
