Installation Process
During server provisioning, Database Mart automatically performs the following steps:
- Deploys the selected Linux operating system.
- Installs the latest stable version of CloudPanel.
- Installs and configures the required components, including Nginx, MySQL, PHP, Redis, Varnish Cache, and ProFTPD.
- Optimizes the server for immediate use.
Everything is fully automated—your CloudPanel server is ready to use as soon as deployment is complete.
Getting Started After Deployment
After your server has been provisioned, follow these steps to begin using CloudPanel.
Access CloudPanel
Open your web browser and navigate to:
https://your-server-ip:8443Replace your-server-ip with your actual server IP address. CloudPanel uses port 8443 for its web interface.
You may encounter a "Not Secure" warning because CloudPanel uses a temporary self-signed SSL certificate by default. This is normal for a fresh installation—click "Advanced" and "Proceed" to continue safely.
Create Your Admin User
Upon first access, you'll be prompted to create your administrative user account. Complete the required fields:
- First Name & Last Name
- User Name – Choose a secure username
- E-Mail – Your contact email
- Password – Create a strong password
- Timezone – Select your local timezone
Agree to the license terms and click Create User to complete the setup.
Log in and Start Managing
After creating your admin account, you can log in anytime using your credentials at https://your-server-ip:8443. The CloudPanel dashboard gives you a clean, intuitive interface to manage your websites, databases, and server resources from a single screen.
Add Your First Website
From the dashboard, navigate to Sites and click Add Site to get started. You can create:
- WordPress sites
- PHP sites
- Node.js applications
- Static HTML sites
- Python applications
- Reverse proxies
Notes
- The default system username for Ubuntu is administrator. To switch to the root user, enter sudo -i.
- Additional websites, databases, system users, firewall rules, and security settings should be configured according to your application requirements.
- CloudPanel's web interface is accessible via https://your-server-ip:8443. A self-signed SSL certificate is used by default; you may replace it with a trusted certificate.
- After deployment, we strongly recommend configuring a regular backup strategy for your websites and databases.
- For enhanced security, restrict access to the CloudPanel web interface (port 8443) and SSH (port 22) to only your trusted IP addresses using a firewall.
- Keep CloudPanel updated regularly by running clp-update from the command line to ensure you have the latest security patches and features.
